Applied Materials Israel is excited to announce the launch of an eBeam Research Grants Program – eBeam Horizon, designed to stimulate and foster eBeam research in Israel. This program is part of our continuous commitment and efforts to pushing the boundaries of eBeam knowledge and creating a sustained research ecosystem in Israel.
Our Vision
Our vision is to establish a sustained Applied Materials-Academia research program focused on eBeam technologies in Israel. The program will create a robust framework for continuous dialogue with researchers and students, thereby expanding the Israeli academia eBeam ecosystem and contributing to the long-term benefit of the Israeli industry as well as academia in this field.
Focus Areas of eBeam Technologies

Electron Optics and Imaging
Large Field of View (FOV), sub-nanometer resolution optics, and innovative imaging modes
High Voltage Physics and Technologies
Including modeling, materials, methods, and high-performance electronics
Electron Sources
Exploring thermal, cold field emission, and multi-beam sources
Electron Detection
Advanced techniques such as energy filtering, angular/spatial filtering
Material Characterization
Cutting-edge analysis techniques applicable to semiconductors applications, leveraging university lab capabilities

Research Grants Framework
Applied Materials Israel will fund research groups through Research Grants for M.Sc students (2 years), Ph.D students (4 years), and Research Staff Members.
Applied Materials Israel will publish a ‘Call for eBeam research’ topics.
Periodic meetings and workshops to maintain a continuous dialogue between researchers, students, and Applied Materials Israel experts will be held.
Opportunities for researchers and students to visit Applied Materials Israel campus, fostering hands-on experiences and strengthening our collaboration.
