Applied Materials uses the above listed personal information for the following purposes:

- Operate our business, such as marketing our company through various media (including but not limited to social media), and providing our products and services
- Facilitate and conduct corporate business transactions, such as a merger, acquisition, joint venture, or financing or sale of company assets

- IT Administration & Security Monitoring
- Secure, authorize, grant, administer, support, and terminate access to or use of the Company’s data, systems, networks, equipment, platforms, directories, facilities, assets, records, property, and infrastructure

- Comply with applicable laws, rules, legal obligations, regulations, legal proceedings, company policies, and government investigations and inspections.
- Conduct investigations, audits, compliance, risk management, and security operations, such as detection and management of allegations of wrongdoing, policy violations, fraud, or financial reporting concerns.
We may aggregate and/or de-identify data and use it for any purpose. To the extent we deidentify any data originally based on personal information, we will maintain and use such data only in deidentified form and will not attempt to reidentify the data.

We may disclose your personal information with our service providers and suppliers, including but not limited to recruiters; background check providers; legal and other advisors; consultants; security service providers; hosting, cloud and other IT services providers; and with government agencies or other third parties to comply with the Company’s legal obligations as specified in this Notice and our Privacy Policy.
If it is necessary for us to transfer your personal information due to a merger, acquisition, division, dissolution, declaration of bankruptcy, or other reasons, we will notify you of the name and contact information of the receiving party upon the conclusion of the above actions and contractually require the receiving party to continue fulfilling legal obligations to you and to comply with this Notice.
Retention Period of Personal Information
Applied Materials retains your personal information for as long as it is necessary to accomplish the purposes for which it was collected, unless otherwise required by law.
We determine how long we keep your personal information based on an assessment of legal, contractual, and compliance obligations. We also consider your employment status, the protection of our rights, and our obligations for the protection of the rights of others.

To exercise any of your rights, appeal a decision concerning a data rights request, or to learn more about your rights, please submit a request by emailing DataProtection@amat.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request.” Upon the receipt of a request, we may ask you some questions in order to verify your identity and process your request. We may also request clarifying information from you to ensure we clearly understand the submitted privacy request.
Authorized Agent
You can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf if you directly confirm with Applied Materials that you provided the authorized agent with permission to submit the request. If you use an authorized agent to submit a request to exercise your rights, please provide any information Applied Materials requests to verify your identity.
Updates to this Notice
We reserve the right to change this Notice at any time at our own discretion in compliance with applicable legal requirements. This may be the case, for example, to comply with new legislation or to reflect new services on our website. Where necessary and possible, we will inform you electronically if any changes require your involvement (e.g. renewed consent) or individual notification.
