Job Title: Sales Manager Reference: SB8748392 Location: Madrid, Spain Responsibilities:
- Building strong customer relationships and coordinating customer demonstrations.
- Based on strong market knowledge and customer requirements, transforming these requirements in to product specifications.
- Has overall accountability for planning, executing and submitting the Annual Sales Business Plan.
- Oversees all strategic account plans and objective planning for both account-specific plans and product-specific plans. Plans, coordinates, prepares standards of presentations, and conducts periodic account status reviews with the Sales Director and the General Manager as appropriate.
- Experience in planning and execution of complex projects.
- Self motivated team-player able to work remotely from management and peers with good judgement of sales and business situations.
- Flexibility and sensitivity in cooperation with internal and external partners from multiple backgrounds, strong intercultural skills.
- Ensures accurate and timely booking status of all sales opportunities pending, monitors if necessary and expedites progress toward quarterly and annual sales commitments.
- Willingness to a very high degree of travel.
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be a quick learner and be able to acquire in-depth understanding of the customer base in the Solar industry; in-depth knowledge of the specific technology and products, and competition in these areas; in-depth knowledge of sales cycles for capital equipment, sales strategies, market penetration, account management and strategies to achieve bookings and gross margins.
- Must have understanding of the technical capabilities of the specific products assigned.
- Ability to effectively interface with customers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Possess a thorough understanding of sales skills and tactics, and have demonstrated use of these skills in the past.
- Must be able to work in various locations; significant travel expected.
Education and Experience:
- BS/MS level degree in a technical discipline (e.g. chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemistry, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of Product Sales and/or Product Support in capital-intensive goods.
